I don't usually use those filters anymore. Someone a while back asked why would you spend $$$ on a top quality lens and then take pictures through a $10 piece of glass? Another piece of glass means more optical imperfections. I tried removing the UV filters before I shot and I got tired of the unscrewing, putting the filter in the bag, taking the shot then taking the filter out of the bag and putting it back on the lens. I keep the lens cap on until I'm ready then I shoot the way Mr. Asahi intended: with my SMC bare naked for all the world to see. Thanks to everyone for their comments. Tom Reese
