Greywolf, Glad to hear that you made it unscathed.
And since you asked - this is what has been keeping me busy... And I will only keep it to the 4th since it really all began on the 2nd :-) I arose at 6:15 a.m. to accompany my friend as he was going to compete in a short duathlon (run/bike/run). I considered competing - but not as out of shape as I am. Anyhow, I enjoy taking pictures anyway. Since they were not totally important shots and such I just toted the *ist D with me. I ended up taking almost 75 shots. I got some good ones of my friend. He is happy with them and I will be emailing them to his girlfriend and family up north. >From there we got back to the house in time to clean up and then prepare for the monthly Jazz Brunch on the Riverwalk in Ft. Lauderdale. I also brought along my 645n. I shot a roll of ISO 160 print along with about 40 shots with the *ist D. I was having fun trying to get a good shot of a friend's wife with this cool hat. I think I succeeded, though the people were wondering about me and my choice of subject. Excellent music to listen to as we had plenty of food selection. We were also joined by some friends from Orlando - she was performing in a benefit concert... Directly from the Brunch it was off to Hollywood - I think, I am not sure - to see Betsy and her group Kingstreet perform at the concert. They were there with four other bands that would eventually lead to Molly Hatchet. I shot almost 150 pics with the *ist D. I got some great shots of their performance. I will be sending them off at some point to them. A wonderful time but too short a set. Shortly after they finished playing we headed off to the house. No waiting for Molly Hatchet. We needed to prep ourselves to ride our bikes over the drawbridge to the beach before they opened the bridge at 8 p.m. We traveled light with some beverages, a hammock, and my camera gear. Had to walk most of it though when he had a flat and we were at a point of no return and just pressed on to get across the bridge. A good time was had by all. Even when three of us got into a hammock and brock the twine. Chris and I repaired it though. Better than new. I passed up on the hammock though to take some shots with the *ist D of the fireworks. I did not have a tripod and relied on leaning against a palm tree. Luckily got a ride home so we did not have to walk back. Home about midnight... And that my friends is part of why I have been fairly quiet since I have been here since Thursday night and today was the first break I have had. Sorry for the ramble, but you asked :-) Cesar Panama City, Florida -----Original Message----- From: graywolf [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, July 04, 2004 4:33 PM To: Pentax Discussion Malling List Subject: Holiday photo adventure in the mountains <snip> So that was my 4th of July adventure.
