My 28mm f/3.5 shift is like that too - the metal lens cap lined with short
velvety fibers actually sucks air when you take it off.  It's good, though,
because it's an expensive lens and I want that cap to stay in place.

The A28-80 (non smc) had a push-on cap that was so tight that it formed a
vacuum as it was removed.
