Hi!

Alex, to cut the chase <g>, I think that if you could wait, it is worth waiting for ME Super. ME does not have manual mode which can be a big drawback. It also has slower shutter 1/1000 vs 1/2000. Though ME can do 8 sec, while ME Super can do only 4. Also ME can sync with flash on speeds ranging from 1/100 to 8 sec, while ME Super can do it only on 1/125. The shutter differences could be not that significant, but lack of manual mode is serious, at least IMHO.

When I bought my ME Super from a fellow PDMLer it had two problems:

1. I had to replace mirror foam which was old and with each shutter release a bit of the material was falling off.
2. My camera developed a strange problem - speeds 1/500 sec and above were not working properly.

Therefore I would suggest that you at least make sure that shutter fires on all the speeds. The best way to test it, is to run a test film through it and have it developed right away.

HTH.

Boris
