I recommend you look for a ME Super which has everything the ME has, plus manual exposure mode. Super A/Program and Program A/Plus are worth to consider as well. Since these cameras have electronic shutters, they are less likely to have problem like the MX does for their ages. However, if all you need is a simple workhorse for negatives (slides require more accurate shutter I suppose), K1000 might be the best option.

So, I'm looking for a nice, manual camera (an upgrade
from my MZ-6). And... what I saw? A ME, waiting for
me! :-)
I just can't decide if it's the best camera I could
buy. And I'm asking your help on this matter...
What is your impression about this camera? Do you
think I should buy this one, or search for another? (I
also saw a ME Super+winder, but it looked quite bad).
Do you feel all the features are easy to use, do you
feel the need for a certain feature?
How it behaves in harsh condition (rain, dust)? Is the
exposure meter accurate?
And what common problems can have this camera; what
should I check; and are they easy to fix?
I intend to take it on when hiking, so I'll drop it,
keep it in dust and heavy rain. My MZ-6 is too fragile
for that...
Of course, I'll try to give it a complete CLA, just in
case - if Pentax/Focus94 still service them. Anyway, I
made the mistake to tell about it to a friend - he's
looking for a camera which he will use in a trip; so
maybe I will have to wait...
Btw: the price is under 100euro, with the 50mm f/1.7.
It should be in Good condition, but I'll have to find
myself what "good" means.

I'm sorry to bother you, I know I can find many posts
on this subject in the archives. Unfortunatelly, I
don't have much time to search (trying to keep the
pace with the list <grin>).
Thank you very much!

And, to be on topic, I really like Bulmers (that's a
cider and not a beer) :-)
