Regarding the M42 DSLR, I love M42 and have a huge collection both bodies and lenses but when it comes to shooting M42, I don't need metering, I don't need motordrive, I don't need AE, but there is one thing I will not accept and that is no auto aperture function. I would never buy a m42 DSLR without auto aperture function over a K mount DSLR that would do same and at least be able to use auto aperture with K lenses. Yes, in a pinch I can use manual or preset lenses but to give up auto aperture on all the splendid M42 lenses I have that support it would be too much to ask and to me would not be acceptable at all... OTOH I'd never expect to see one, unless somebody besides Leica makes a digital back that works that could be adapted to the Cosina things. Those few of us that would actually use M42 lenses on digital can handle using a K-mount DSLR with an adapter and using the A/M lever like an auto-takumar or preset takumar lens! DJE
