I'm not aguing with you on this, how boring :-) Ilford is a sensible
company that's been around for 100 years and obviously intends to stay
around. The point I am trying to make is that Ilford can and do make
relatively low volumes of specialist film products (and have ever since
the widespread invasion of colour film post-WWII). I see no reason that
when colour film has the niche market that B&W currently occupies that an
equivalent to Ilford won't make it.
