I know it can be confusing, but the Vivitar 2X Macro Focusing
Teleconverter MC 7 element is a very good lens. It can also be
racked out for decreasing your close focus distance, which is
handy. Vivitar has made some "great lenses" and some "not so
great" lenses, just like any lens maker. The hard part is figuring
out which ones are good. Soligor also made a 7 element 2X
converter which I am very pleased with, I have it in screw
mount. With all the converters out there, study the pics on
ebay. The 7 element converters are a little taller in height,
compared to the 4 element converters, and produce much
better results.
