They don't have any photographic tradition and so it is sad that they are
more popular and recognisable as digital-photo companies than Pentax...

I guess business has always been this way (not just technology). When a business is getting old and has not found a way to evolve, they were left behind eventually.

FF DSLR from Pentax? I dunno. It won't happen in next ten years :-) Sooner
we will see digital 645. Loking at APS sized CCD cameras sales figures I
wouldn't be surprised if FF DSLR would remain very expensive high-end option
for most demanding users, something like medium and large format in film
world...

I am a little optomistic and believe Pentax FF 135 DSLRs will become viable eventually. Just like CPUs which get cheaper and more powerful every year. How long? I don't know. But Canon has proven it can be done, and Nikon is not dumping their regular lenses and made it cleared they are stilling working on FF technology, Minolta just introduced some new lenses last year (right, their DSLR is not ready yet). Unless Pentax was planning to dump the entire series of non-DA lenses, my hope is held.
