Hi, Toralf.

I'm familiar with two models of Vivitar 2X TC's:

The 4-element model (labeled something such as "2X-22") is not
particularly good. (Actually, if not used with the right lens, and
if not stopped down quite a bit, it's awful.)

The 7-element Macro-Focusing 2X TC, on the other hand, is quite
good, similar in its results to the Pentax T6-2X and A 2X-S TC's,
and it is quite versatile, too, with its helicoidal focusing
mechanism for macro (or, at lest, closer focusing) work with regular
lenses.

I'd avoid the former but I'd recommend the latter.

Fred
