I think "pardon my French" just means, "sorry for my dirty words". Mayby
originating from life in Frensh speaking communitiers or neighbourghoods -
perhaps like New Orleans. Otherwise I don't think the french swear more or
less than any other people.

The other day I saw a movie, where I heard a black man say "sorry 'bout my
Swaheli".

French has the reputation of bad speech and understand the foreign
languages, and my English is very bad.
I will say whereas I very did not understand !!

 But that is well a photographs subject, the spectators had well to take
million of them yesterday, and even with of Pentax.   : -)
