i have some Metz flashes using on LX & MZ5 (& departed Z1) with SCA adapters for portrait with own made flash bracket (not strobe frame). Although shadows totally disappeared but softness too. i intend to put light reducing filter which comes in three sets instead of using soft boxes made by different manufaturers. Will appreciate in put/comments of Pentax colleagues on its utility for portrait and will this help towards sharpness/softness and killing of harsh light i.e. single flash & camera in vertical position 50mm/85/105 lens and subject distance in between three feet to six feet and affect of one to three light reducing filters on the portrait.
