Yes, Austin. I know the store you bought it at, its the one on Lamar st.
The other store further up north, and they have 2 of the 16-45DA lenses for $449, which is pretty good for a local shop.

Gonz, I'm wondering if I know your local store. The place I bought my *istD had, I think, four body + 16-45mm kits available at the time, and just the one "body only" (which I bought).
This was in Austin. Aren't you in Austin?
