I have a Program A where I can only see half of the LCD display in the VF. It looks like something is blocking the light from coming in behind the display, or maybe the display has moved. I've taken the two screws out of the top cover, 2 screws at the top of the back side, 2 screws under the exposure comp dial, 2 screws from the pentax nameplate on the front, the screw holding the winder cover on. Everything still seems well fixed so I am stuck! I've tried rotating the brass ring under the lever wind (clockwise assuming it's like the Super A) with screwdrivers but no movement at all. Do the mode and exposure comp dials have to come off? I can't see how they are fixed.
Any ideas on what to try next? I downloaded the ME & Super ME service manuals but I think disassembling this is quite different. Dan
