I bought their firewire CF reader, because my notebook PC has firewire. Unfortunately I should have read the fine print of the IEEE 1394 specs; the 4-pin mini-firewire connector on my PC doesn't supply power, so it doesn't work with the Lexar reader. Apparently you *can* buy a 4-wire to 6-wire power injector. It's significantly bulkier than the firewire reader, of course, and includes yet another wall-wart to be plugged in somewhere.
