Tonality affects metering, as some meters are more sensitive to some
colours.
It also affects zone placement, since the photographer suddenly has
to try to translate a specific colour into the film's brightness
range.
It's less of an issue (non issue for the most part) with averaging
meters (this includes most in camera meters), since the effect of the
strong colour cast in one part of the scene is likely going to be
offset or averaged out by other parts of the scene.
