Peter,

I'm about to be extremely unhelpful, but, here goes anyway:

My finder is usually quite hard to remove. It seems that putting more
pressure on the little switch to the left of the prism doesn't help
much. Pushing the viewfinder forward whilst gently pushing the little
switch seems to work - sometimes.

Most often, just trying over and over seems to work best, but it
sounds like you've done that already <vbg>.

Since I rarely have need to take it off (usually it's just to show
people: "Hey, isn't this cool? Can your camera do that? Eh? Eh?
Can your autofocus digital plastic thing do that? I didn't think so!
What do I use it for? Well, nothing, actually, but I ~could~ put on
another viewfinder if I had the money and the inclination, neither of
which I have...") I don't fret about my sticky viewfinder.

Like I said, not much help.

cheers,
frank
