It's quite simple. Just set the camera to M , set the aperture you wish 
to use, and set the shutter speed to 1/150 or slower. When using an M 
or K lens, I push the green button once before setting the ap and 
shutter speed. I'm not sure if I have to, but it works. I shoot with 
the *ist D in the studio several times a week. It's great.
