Cool.  I guess North Carolina would be an ideal place for them - lots
of lakes big enough for the skimming/loading part.

I've never actually been in one, but I've seen pix of the interior,
and you're right, the tanks seem very small.  When I first saw them
flying, I imagined that the entire interior aft of the cockpit was a
giant water tank, but I guess that would make them a bit heavy on
take-off <vbg>.

I guess even the 1600 gallons that they carry is pretty heavy...
