I know what you mea, John. By rights, I probably ought to "upgrade" the A* 200/2.8 (or maybe the FA* - I dunno) from my K 200/2.5. However, I originally "downgraded" from the A* to the K a few years ago, since I loved it so much, and I will be the only Pentax K lens that I'll stick to using on the *ist-D (when I eventually get one). I have quite a few ~dear~ Vivitar Series 1 (pre-Ka) lenses from the "golden days of VS1" that I will also enjoy using on the *ist-D, too. Some of them are just too neat to get rid of... But I do miss that K 85/1.8, though... <sniff> I agree with you, John - if I still had it, it would be fun to use on the latest digital toy, er, um, I mean ~tool~... Fred
