I thought that the whole point of satire was that there should be some
humor or message or something of value in it. . .

Juan rejoined the list, and shared with us that he'd gotten an istd in an

criticized by Cotty, whether tongue in cheek or not. The result of that
post got others, like lemmings, to offer their reasons why those who choose
to use tape are pretentious or fondlers, or just plain nuts. What a fine,

mouths of some list members ... maybe even mine <LOL>.
Shel, I respect your judgement and teaching on photography, but our

I'm sure Juan took the original satire in the spirit it was intended and
I dare say that he could / would have emailed me privately if he had
thought my satire too cutting.
And just in case you or Juan or anyone else gets satire confused with
critique, here it is again:
When I see a camera that has the name blanked off, there can only
be one of the following reason's why:
1) The camera is being used in a shot on film/tv/advertising and the
name is not needed.
2) The owner is ashamed of the camera.
3) The owner is mad as a March hare.
