Even if you were sitting on a tire when you said it, there would be those who did not get it. No need to get defensive, Cotty.

However, note that it must be the funny season. Cotty getting defensive about his satire. Frank appologizing for his photos. Me critiquing photos. Something is definately stange is going on on the list...

While Paul's original "fondler" comment irked me, I also understood what
was being referenced. There are "fondlers" of all camera brands ... as
well as other objects. What irked me the most were comments by Cotty,
greywolf (sorry, your names come to mind most readily), and some others,
who seemed to be judgmental and critical of Juan's preference for taping
his PENTAX,

I was not critical of Juan's actions, I was trying (and obviously
failing) at being satirical.

Here is my original post, for clarity:

When I see a camera that has the name blanked off, there can only be one of the following reason's why:

1) The camera is being used in a shot on film/tv/advertising and the
name is not needed.

2) The owner is ashamed of the camera.

3) The owner is mad as a March hare.

To me that is satire. You may think it is being critical. That is your
right. I don't care one way or the other how someone customises or adapts
their equipment, as long as they are happy with it and it suits them. If
they're happy, I'm happy.

Cheers, Cotty
