At work we've had a couple of cases of people accidentally shorting live DC busbars with their watch straps. We make power systems for telecommunications, typically capable of producing 1,000A at 48VDC.

My watch has a leather strap...

Or, if you are trying to start your bike by shorting the main battery lead to the starter solenoid and you touch the frame with the key you are using, you get "elaY" printed on your thumb. Yaroo!
