Thanks for the link.  Now I understand a bit more about electronic shutters.
I always did wonder what was happening electronically when I set my video
camera (and more recently my point & shoot digicam) to a "slow shutter
speed".

Apology accepted.  I am an mechanical engineer by training (if not by
profession) so "touchy feely type discussions" about factual matters
sometimes annoy me too ;-)
