Earth. Some countries have odd time zones of their own choosing that are on the half hour with respect GMT. Sometimes it's because the country is large and straddles two time zones (India, for example) and sometimes it's because it's small and in between two time zones (Burma, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan). Saudi Arabia used to reset all its clocks every day in order to keep midnight correct with respect to prayer times. Imagine getting *that* programmed into your ist-D! (I'm pretty sure Saudi Arabia doesn't do this any more.) -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
