First off let me say that people photos are not my usual kind of shots, so
I'm probably not that qualified to...

" Saddhu " by Carlos Royo, Spain - I think the interesting thing here is
the face and the fact that your subject apparently is not aware of being
photographed, due to the long focal length. I don't know if this was a crop
or not... I feel there may be a little too much "white space" (water) at the
top. Reducing it by about 75% seems to make the image more powerful, in my
opinion. Also, in a good way, it makes me feel cold as if I just got out of
the water in a breeze.

" Quiet Time " by William Robb - The closeness, facial expression, and
depth of field in this shot are nice. The natural side lighting creating
the highlights in the hair gives this shot added appeal and makes it much
more than a photo of an "artistic" child. The slipping overall strap gives
a candid feel. A normal everyday situation captured in a beautiful way.

" Pensive " by Bill Sawyer, USA - Kids at work are so serious aren't they?
My son loves to come to work with me. It's obviously a long term strategic
planning session. Again, I like the use of DOF and how the girl stands out
from both the background and foreground. It really concentrates attention
on the main subject. Have you offered an enlargement to her parents?

" Joshua's Prayer " by Delano Mireles - A very cute precious shot and one
that you should get enlarged. I think the sepia tone complements the
subject and gives the entire picture a warm feeling. I like the
concentration shown in the face. At first I was thinking there was too much
black on the left, but quickly began to like the effect, and the way the
dark changes to light somewhere behind his head. Was he positioned at the
corner of a wall? Once again, nice job.
