All DSLRs Ive seen use 3:2 (Canon, Nikon, Pentax) but all other digital cameras I've ever seen use 4:3 aspect ratio. Not only the low end 640x480 models. All kinds of cameras, both simple P&S's and quite advanced digital rangefinders from 2 to 8 Mpix. Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Minolta, Olympus...
