Thanks, Mark. have you noticed any "unsharpness" using 35mm wideangles like the 20-35mm lens? I have earlier posted a story, saying that a guy I know got he's money back (on the *ist D) because there were no available wide angles for it. HE was complaining abiout unsharp photographs from 35mm lenses. Jens

I have really enjoyed my FA 20-35/4 AL. I use it more than my DA16-45 which I am still uncomfortable because of occasional overexposure issues. The 20-35 I've had no problems. I mount it and go. If I need wider angle I use the DA 16-45 but I would just like to have a 16mm or 14mm prime. I'm just reluctant to buy the DA14 now till I see if new DA lens have any issues. All of my lens except the DA16-45 I use on a PZ1p also. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jens Bladt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 25, 2004 2:34 PM Subject: Which wide angle zoom for the *ist D? > This may be a stupid (and already many times answered) question. > But I can't seem to figure out how to spend money in the best posible way. > I have many nice Pentax lenses, that I frequently use for "professional" > work (for books/planning publications, development briefs, presentations > etc.), mostly about architecture and planning. > > Since I started shooting with my Pentax *ist D, I need a wider zoom lense, > preferbley 16mm-60mm :-) > > How would you rate the options? > > Pentax 18-55mm F4-5.6 = 180 Euros > Petnax 16-45mm F4 = 456 Euros > Sigma 18-50 3.5-5.6 DC = 99 Euros > Sigma 18-125 3.5-5.6 DC = 245 Euros > Sigma EX 18-50 F2.8 DC = 429 Euros > Tokina AF 19-35mm 3.5-4.5 = 186 Euros > Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm 3.5-4.5 = 117 Euros (ebay) > > Are there options I have overlaooked?
