No, tekade got nothing to do with TKD, it only sounds similar
It's nice they give the local dealer a commission! I'd never thought of that, but it is a good idea so the local dealer got some reason to stock & offer this stuff even when it ain't bought at his shop. In medical stuff this is quite common practise in germany to have dealers for an area who get commission for everything sold into that area, no matter sold by whom. Seems to work quite well.
Another thing: when I searched the net for cheap B+W filters I found a very promising one and was surprised to find it was sitting in Flensburg, too, just a few streets away. And it never occured to me before to look for filters locally :)

Nice to know about tekade (TKD is it?).
I actually found out, that when I went to the local photodealer to make
inqueries about FotoStation, and then bought it (for work) throught the
internet ( at the national import/wholesales company), the photodealer then
got a commission!
I guess the photographic business could try to get a similar deal with the factories/international wholesale outlets for photographic equipment as well!!?? Or am I dreaming?

Hej Jens,
that seems to be a problem of local dealers here, too - they are expensive
and clueless.
When I wanted to buy the *istD the local dealer wanted the list price of
1599,- Euros (or was it 1799,-? not sure), while a recommended online-shop
sold it to me for 1200,- Euros.
And when I asked the local dealer about the Pentax-A SMC 50mm 1:1.2 lens the
sales person tried to sell me a sigma 50mm with F 1:1 - of course there is
no such lens, he was looking at a macro lens with 1:1 macro capability. He
didn't get it even when I strongly hinted he must be mistaken about this
lens.
I said my farewell then and ordered it online at a shop not only way cheaper
but with more knowledge, too: www.tekade.de they even have most of pentax
stuff in stock, do support a user forum, organized a visit to Pentax Hamburg
even. Nice bunch!!
'Internet killed the local dealers' is sometimes true. Those who can't adapt.

True, Sam.
I buy all new stuff in Germany - through the internet. VAT is only 17% -
in
Denmark 25%. I do not have to pay Danish VAT because of EU-rules. I feel
bad
about NOT supporting Danish deales, though. But the *ist D cost 30-60%
more
in Denmark compared to Germany. So, I didn't feel I really had a choise! I
actually "earned" 4000 Dkr (536 Euros = 25% off) by buying this in
Foto-Porst, Berlin. I think it's crazy we can't compete, 'cause it's not
just the VAT - the price tags are just huge here!
My Vosonic X's-Drive cost me 1800 Dkr in Germany (Technik Direkt) - and
2900
Dkr in Denmark!! The difference is just too obvious. BTW this 40GB hard
drive/card reader now comes with a Picture Screen and the ability to show
pictures on a TV, in a few weeks - I just saw it at yesterdays photo show.
Brilliant machine!

Well, you always could take a long drive and buy the stuff in germany, not? Or would there be a problem with taxes then?
Sam (Flensborg)
Not, bad. But after all, it's a 1000 USD lens! In Denmark the list price is 1800 USD, in Germany it can be found for less than 800 Euros (1000USD). I guess it ought to be very sharp.
The Tokina version is a little less expensive than the Sigma (Germany). The Pentax version 2.8/80-200mm is very expensive; close to 5000 USD in Denmark, and only 1800 Euros in Germany = app. 2300 USD. Oh my - why is Pentax so expensive here? I guess it really doesn't matter, 'cause they never sell any pro-Pentax leses up here.

My question for the fearless out there is still:
Camera: ISO: Focal length: Aperture: Shutter speed: PC RAW conversion/JPEG straight from camera:
