I never cared for the (to me) excessive grain with the Diafine/TX
combination. However, that was with late sixties TX, and the film has been
reformulated at least twice since then. I've been rather pleased with
Acufine & TX under certain conditions, although I'm leaning towards Neopan
1600 with D-76 (actually, ID-11). Haven't made up my mind yet, but the
tonality and grain seems better than pushing TX.
