Have you ever BEEN in a sportscar? Or a high performance sedan? How about revving the motor of a 32 roadster? I suppose there are those of us who get nothing out of these experiences and for whom a car is a car is a car. I for one, am not one of those.

I've driven a two seater Lola and a C type Jag replica amongst many others but, to be honest, I find cars just a teensy bit boring. Much more "bang to the buck" on two wheels. Keeps the skill levels honed, too.

Do I think kids would race if there wasn't racing on TV? Oh HELL yeah.

Not sure I agree with you.

It's often stated that motor racing began the day the second car was completed.

_Then_ it was useful. Today, I think there are more important things to worry about than knocking a few thousandths of a second off the 1/4 mile.
