Hello David,

It is possible to take images that don't look extreme in the "fisheye"
look.  You do have to be careful with the subject matter and how you
frame the scene.  Here are some examples that I would consider to not
have that cheap trick look:

BTW, one great feature of the Pentax 17-28 fisheye zoom is that you
can vary the strength of the distortion by zooming in and out.
