I queried Pentax about this but they aren't responding. Perhaps that's better than when they reply "We don't know anything, but ask anytime."
I'm thinking of getting my wife an Optio for Christmas -- maybe the S40. This and other models include a smidgen of built-in storage -- 11 mb, I believe. Here's my question: If one puts in an SD card, does the camera save files to both the built-in memory and the card? Or can it be made to save only to the card? She will probably take the SD card to Walmart and have prints made. If images are in the built-in memory, though, then the whole camera would have to be left with Walmart. Not good. Also, any idea about how many images can go on an SD card of 128 or 256 mb at highest resolution? Thanks, Joe
