I doubt I'll ever get a Pentax lens wider than the K24/2.8 I currently have, but I did pick up a Spiratone 20/2.8 cheaply at a camera swap. About $80 if I recall.
This lens has an A setting, focuses the "wrong" way (no big deal in such a wide lens), and has 58mm threads. I don't shoot slide film, so cannot comnment about color cast or perhaps even contrast, but it is reasonably flare resistant - something other 3rd party lenses I own are not - and it is quite sharp stopped down to the 5.6-11 range, which is where I've always shot it. Considering how rarely I need this much wide on a film camera, I'm more than pleased with it.
