My SMC Pentax 50/1.2 is stop sign all the way (i.e. 8 blades). Boz shows two models for the K 50/1.2 at www.bdimitrov.de/kmp. Mine is the earlier "1:1.2/50". I bet yours is the later "1:1.2 50" model, and somebody snuck in an extra blade - maybe as a result of feedback from users, or they just had a few extras on hand.
