Yes it can if you don't know what "great" looks like.
Go see some nice 11x14 BW contact prints and then decide what the word "great" should be reserved for. The clarity and "rightness" of THOSE 11x14s is what I would call "great" and you don't need a lupe or rub your nose on it to see it.
