Good point. I guess I want to make test that can be compared over a long
time. I want to be able to repeat the same test with different lenses over a
long period of time. I always made many test. This is one of the reasons I
own more excellent lenses now than 15 years ago, when I thought it was
enough they were Pentax lenses. Well, now I know it isn't!
Also I wanted to try determining the resolution of a lens in lpm - just for
the fun of it. Now I believe I can. Thanks to you guys :-).

I agree it can be informative, but don't you think that
a test subject such as dpreview uses, with several different
types of objects in addition to a chart would tell more
about gear than the chart alone?
