Do I take it by this that the camera DOES NOT drain the onboard batteries as long as the grip is attached and has good batteries?
I have yet to figure this out, and it isn't covered in the documentation (or if it is, I missed it).
I started a shoot the other day with 8 freshly charged NIMH batteries, and after about 500 or so shots, I was getting a low battery indicator.
I turned the camera off for about 10 seconds, turned it back on, and got a full indicator.
I then proceded to shoot another 250 or so exposures.
I think there is a wonk in the camera.
