The *ist D allows you to adjust the brightness of the LCD screen. Make some test shots, watch them at you computer (make sure your computer screen is properly calibrated) and adjust you LCD too look just about the same.
Lucky you got underexposures, 'cause overexposure (burned out high lights) are much worse - and more common, I believe. Burned out high lights are my biggest problem after switching to digital. I think digital images are more prone to this than film (regardless of the ongoing discussion about film vs. digital dynamics). How about posting some shots? :-) All the best Jens Jens Bladt mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hjem.get2net.dk/bladt -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 8. november 2004 14:36 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: Re: shot first event with *istD... > Unfortunately almost everything turned out underexposed. I shot everything RAW. What iso did you use. 400 is the suggested from previous threads.I would think PS will help to some degree, depending on how under they are.The Dslr i have when shooting flsh seems best in M mode and flash on DTTL or AA. > > > Next time I'm bringing a flash and some more memory.
