When I purchased two PZ-1p's, they both came with covers. When I
purchased two MZ-S's they both came with covers. When I purchased two
P67ii's they both came with covers. When I purchased two *istD's they
both came with covers. When I purchased an *ist film camera, it came
with a cover.

I would say that Pentax is doing it's part to satisfy you Bill. If
you get used cameras and the previous owner has thrown away the cover,
that is too bad.
