I just joined this list simply because I just purchased a Pentax this week. My first SLR experience was a K1000 (which I borrowed on occasion from my father) and up until recently used a Zenit-E with a few different lenses, etc. I just purchased a Pentax Program Plus with all the trimmings (basically).
My wife and I live on the Oregon coast, with no kids so I can dedicate some funds to camera gear instead of to toys for the tots... ;)
