Good job, but...
I think the added strong contrast in the sky detracts from the more subtle starkness of the wooden buildings, and their lack of color.
The buildings are mainly composed of small high contrast elements and that creates the barren feeling I get looking at them...at the details.
Now, the added sky details draw the eye upward, as a second point of interest.
Not only that, but they are in contrast to the buildings, by being beautiful and soft-looking.
