For cleaning the sensor I use an ear syringe. It's sterile when bought, so I keep it in the original box when not in use. So far, it has generated enough air to clean the sensor when necessary. However, it couldn't get every bit of dirt off of the mirror. That's when I resorted to the microfiber cloth. In any case, my camera is still working fine. I guess that's all that counts.
They are a lot tougher than people give them credit for being. Cameras that is.
