Larry I use an Access database that I wrote myself - with a bit of help from various people on the tricky bits. I used it as an exercise in learning Access. The database records contains my slide database, my digital database and writes web pages for my marine photos (I haven't put the new web pages up yet as I still have to scan a hundred or so photos before the final version is ready). It displays a thumbnail of the image if it's digital or I have scanned it at some point and details of exposure for digital (and slides where I knew it). I don't have it set up to bring up the full image or give a proof sheet of all images yet - I don't need that in the database yet, but I know it can be done. I can sort on the following Category Location Date Day or month or year or combination of them. Short description Group (major marine invertebrate taxa) Species number (links to another database for more details) Notes - Main keyword area Image type (slide, digital, etc) and any combinations of them or anything else I want to add along the way.
