Hi! Dave, my standard outfit is:
Kerio Personal Firewall (2.1 - free version) Mozilla Firefox browser (1.0 - also free) Privoxy - internet proxy that blocks pop ups and does other cool stuff (also free) And from time to time (once every two weeks or so) I run Spybot Search and Destroy. However I run it in "Advanced mode" and I don't let it clean anything until I decided it has to be cleaned. In your case, it seems that you may want to switch browsers and you may need to install a proxy. Will Robb's suggestion is way better - if you get a router you may have a hardware based firewall and proxy. Just make sure you get one which has good web-interface for you to set up. HTH.
