Being Jewish means belonging to certain nationality, Juan. And the fact that you children will be Jewish, as was mentioned earlier, reflects a tradition. It has nothing to do with religion. Among Jews (both religious and secular ones), the Jewishness is passed through mother's line of blood. Though it is heavily OT, I thought I'd mention that, simply because it would seem that pretty harmless comment is causing this discussion to take unexpected direction.
