Yes, they make Avionics and other instrumentation, I don't think they do anything in the photo arena now however.

What's wrong with Pentax? Don't they have a marketing department? MacWorld just published a big digital photography issue, where they cover all matter of digital cameras from P&S to SLR. All the players are mentioned -- except Pentax. Not a word about the P brand. I've also noticed that the *istD has disappeared from a lot of the stores around here that once carried it. One of our major outlets, Camera Mart, held a big event a few weeks back with representatives from all the camera companies. They even had reps for Konica Minolta, Olympus, and Tokina. And of course Nikon and Canon had huge displays and multiple reps. Nothing for Pentax. And this store was selling quite a few *istDs when it was first released. They apparently have dropped it. What's wrong with Pentax?
