Okay, first off, this is way too much traffic for Kodak changing their
packaging on the Gold series of films. Please explain to me why this is
tremendously important to your photographic functioning. This film isn't
changing or going away. Ektar 25 and APX 25 being cancelled yes! But Kodak
Gold!?!?!?!? Xanax alert!!! It's time to chill out!
Fact is, Kodak has had a diagram on the back of their Gold series explaining
to your average consumer who doesn't understand film speed how to pick the
right film. That they change this to be more prominant is a good move. Maybe
people will get into the habit of grabbing the right film more often .
They'll know what film they need based on what they're shooting. Isn't that
what you do with your families and friends who ask you about buying film?
*You can't dumb someone down if they don't understand it in the first
place.*
If Kodak did this with their pro films, then yeah, I'd have a gripe too. I'd
believe I was being treated like an idiot. But since Porta and Supra are
still packaged with films speeds on them and lack the "when to use this
film" graphics on the box, I've got no gripe.
Let's get back to learning this whole photography thing...
