That sounds similar to my experience. I got abour 900 shots from the
set that came with the camera, and a set of lithium AAs was good for
only about 350 shots.

I don't use the flash, but also, I usually forget to turn the camera
off. I have it set to go to sleep after 5 minutes. Can this be part of
the problem?
