Hi Bob, remembering my books, IIRC, colour temp changes with duration a bit. More precisely, at the start of any discharge it's warmer (or cooler?), while during the peak of the discharge it's cooler (or warmer?). So depending on where the thyristor cuts the discharge, you get more cooler or more warmer output. Used to be more pronounced with old flashes (probably they had much longer t of discharge).
